Uji Kyoto, Heritage and Quality
The founder, Tsuji Riemon, invented the tea chest and perfected a method for making Gyokuro green tea. These innovations enabled TSUJIRI to revive the good name of Uji tea, which had been threatened with dissapearance amid the uphevals that ended the Edo period.
We carefully select our tea leaves using the expertise we have cultivated over our 160 years of history. Through our integrated production process in our own factory, we stay true to traditional methods, such as stone grinding, to deliver high-quality tea with a rich aroma.
Tea has long been known for its ability to relax the mind. Driven by the desire to share the goodness and flavor of tea with more people, we are dedicated not only to providing exceptional tea but also to developing products that use the finest matcha.
