Named after the Greek word εντ?λεια, meaning whole and absolute perfection, Entelia is the epitome of olive oil from Crete.

Not just another extra virgin olive oil, Entelia is a product of love and passion, produced on small family-owned farms at the foothills of the picturesque White Mountains of Western Crete. The olive trees belong to the Koroneiki variety and are farmed with great skill, care and attention by their owners. The precise moment of ripeness is carefully determined, harvesting is done by hand and the olives are transported and crushed at the mill within the crucial short hours after picking. The result of this tender loving care and attention is a cold-extracted, amazingly flavorful, aromatic fruit juice that is Entelia extra virgin olive oil.

Produced exclusively from Koroneiki olives grown on family farms in Western Crete, Entelia is the quality extra virgin olive oil that meets all your culinary needs. You'll find it has a gentle aroma of almonds, apple and ripe tomato. These notes return on the palate, along with hints of wild herbs, artichoke and avocado. In the mouth it feels soft and buttery, making this oil an excellent butter replacement. Use it as a condiment, and for finishing raw veg, cooked veg, fish and chicken. It's perfect for salad dressings and making dips like hummus. This incredibly versatile olive oil is also ideal for cooking, baking and frying.

The most common olive variety used for oil production in Greece, Koroneiki trees in many areas make up over 50% of Greek cultivated land.

Though known to be on the milder side, Koroneiki oils are typically high in polyphenols, always incredibly well balanced, and excellent with a variety of foods and cooking applications.

On the island of Crete, olive oil has been essential to both nutrition and to the local economy for at least five-thousand years, since the time of the Minoan civilization, the first civilization in Europe. The olive tree was thought to be sacred, so Cretans rightfully offered the blessed olive juice to the Gods.

The organoleptic essence and delicious taste of Cretan olive oil are internationally recognized, making Crete one of the world’s premier production areas with a reputation for producing olive oil of exceptional quality. Established in 1992 with headquarters in Chania, Kreta Food has a long history of delivering high quality Cretan olive oil to the world market.
