This Darjeeling tea is a black tea from Darjeeling harvested on the Himalayan foothills, delivering an amber-colored tea, with subtle notes of ripe fruits.

Brothers Robert & Pierre Dammann were forever inspired by their family's historic pedigree in purveying fine tea. In 1925, after extensive travels throughout the Orient, they returned to France and founded Dammann Freres - dedicated, quite simply, to providing the best cup of tea in the world.

Tea merchants in Paris since 1692 when King Louis the 14th, granted Sire Damame the exclusive right to sell tea in France.

In 1949, Jean Jumeau-Lafond joins the business. He becomes company director alongside Robert Dammann. Tea is now the company's sole trade.

In 1925 the brothers Robert and Pierre Dammann founded the Dammann Freres trading company.
