About Aunt Sally's Pralines

Our Creamy Praline Flavors

Aunt Sally’s Pralines was founded in the tightly knit French Creole community of New Orleans in the early 1900s. In 1935, Diane and Pierre Bagur opened the first Aunt Sally’s Praline Shop in the French Market. They sold handmade pralines, along with a collection of retail merchandise representing New Orleans culture and Creole traditions. Over the next several decades, the family opened more stores, created new recipes, and modernized their production facilities, evolving into an iconic New Orleans brand. In addition to retail stores, Aunt Sally’s Pralines grew successful mail order, internet, and wholesale channels, while maintaining family ownership and a solid commitment to the City of New Orleans.

Today, Aunt Sally’s Pralines operates two retail stores in the heart of our home city, New Orleans. At our stores and online we sell New Orleans gifts and souvenirs, including excellent cookbooks, collectibles, and local goods. And, of course, our Original, Creamy, and Chewy pralines.

Aunt Sally’s has been making traditional, authentic New Orleans' style pralines for nearly a century. We continue our family legacy and love for pralines to this day, bringing a little sweetness to family and friends far and wide.

We still make our pralines by hand every day. Our experienced chefs and cooks are true artisans who are passionate about making our premium, gourmet, delicious pralines in copper pots using the highest quality ingredients and Louisiana pecans inspired by cherished family recipes passed down through generations.

Our roots, hearts, and homes are all based in the heart of New Orleans. This historic city’s culinary traditions, vibrant and impassioned culture contributed, and contributes, to the spirit we make our decadent, flavorful sweet treats that we share with the world.

Our Creamy Classic praline is inspired by our original family recipe known to be New Orleans style. With rich cream, hints of vanilla and molasses and the finest quality Louisiana pecans they are a taste of New Orleans that can travel with you anywhere in the world.

They are fudgy, velvety, decadent and delicious and stay fresh up to 8 months - but we doubt they’ll stick around that long.

All our pralines are 100% Gluten-Free.

We use 100% premium bakers’ cacao to make our Creamy Chocolate pralines. Blending this with rich cream, vanilla, molasses and the finest quality Louisiana pecans results in a fudgy, decadent, velvety sweet treat that is irresistible to chocolate lovers.

They stay fresh up to 8 months ? but we doubt they’ll stick around that long.

All our pralines are 100% Gluten-Free.

Bananas Foster is a famous dessert invented right here in the New Orleans French Quarter in 1951. Our Bananas Foster pralines feature a sweet, cinnamon banana flavor when combined with hints of vanilla, molasses and the finest quality Louisiana pecans deliver a fudgy, velvety treat.

They stay fresh up to 8 months ? but we doubt they’ll stick around that long.

All our pralines are 100% Gluten-Free.

Traditionally our Salted Caramel pralines were only available during fall months, but they were so popular they graduated to our permanent line up. We blend Kosher Sea Salt with caramel and our decadent base that features molasses, the finest quality Louisiana pecans with a hint of vanilla resulting in this fudgy, expressive and flavorful treat.
