- ENGLISH BREAKFAST BLACK TEA - A smooth, versatile and invigorating loose leaf black tea with a robust malty richness. A Whittard firm favorite for well over a century now, our English Breakfast loose leaf tea is particularly delicious served with a splash of milk to accompany a hearty "full English". - LOOSE LEAF TEA - Our English favorite contains English Breakfast Loose Black Tea. Suitable for Vegetarians and is Vegan Friendly. Best if stored in a cool, dry place away from strong light and odors. - HOW TO BREW - Black tea is more robust than other tea types, so don't hold back. Add two teaspoons (around 4g) of loose loose-leaf per cup and use water off the boil (around 176°F). leave the kettle after boiling for five minutes. We recommend brewing in freshly boiled water for 3-5 minutes. Best enjoyed hot! - RESEALABLE & STACKABLE TIN - Our caddy brews approximately 50 cups of tea (using 2 tsp/a cup). Black tea is fully oxidized, meaning that molecules in the tea react with oxygen to give the leaves a rich, robust flavor. From classic blends like English Breakfast and Earl Grey to delicate Darjeeling and breezy Ceylon tea, there’s more to black tea than you might expect…

The core difference between green and black tea is oxidation. Green tea is heated to stop oxidation ? preserving that fresh taste and green color that makes it famous. Famed for its fresh, verdant taste, lush green tea hails from China and Japan ? whose different methods of firing and steaming can have a big effect on the final cup.

Our fruit and herbal infusions don't technically contain tea: instead, they're blended from fruit, herbs, spices and flowers. This means that all of our infusions ? with the exception of our herbal mate infusions ? are naturally caffeine-free. There's an extraordinary range of flavors possible, from the natural sweetness of camomile flowers to bright, tart berries and hibiscus flowers.
