From Our Farm to Your Table
In Minervino Murge (Puglia) at 200-300m elevation, through organic farming, the Lobascio Family wants to convey the importance of caring for the land, for small-scale agriculture, craftsmanship, and respect for the environment and biodiversity, which they strive to build every day.
The Lobascio Family and the Terradiva olive oil, represent a story of trees, olive oil, and family growth.
Exclusively from Coratina variety olives, cold extracted and filtered. This is the first oil of the year, obtained exclusively
from few selected olive groves of the farm.
Following the product from the field to the fruit harvest, from
product processing to packaging and storage in the family laboratory. The olives are pressed at the mill 2 hours after harvesting.
It is rich in vegetal scents, the one of green tomato excelling.
On the palate the spicy notes
are pronounced, the bitterness is
balanced, it is an oil with personality.
The Lobascio Family tends 10,000 olive trees daily, following the cycle of the seasons and coping with unforeseen weather.
They feed the trees with organic fertilizers without synthetic fertilizers or chemical compounds. Every year, they devote themselves to the “art of pruning.” Wild grasses are cut and left in the field, as are the pruned branches and residues, to further nourish the soil.
The Lobascio family merges traditions with modern technology to achieve the highest possible quality and health benefits. They store their olive oil in nitrogen insulated silos to avoid oil getting in contact with air and getting oxidized.
