Clarified butter (Ghee) is the purest form of butter. Unsalted butter is simmered until the milk solids and water have been evaporated. The butter is transformed into golden color oil with a sweet nutty taste. Ghee is the basic cooking oil of India and is used to saute and deep fry a large variety of dishes. The richness and cost of dairy products in India elevate Ghee to symbolize wealth and prosperity to those who cook with it. It is also important religious oil used in Hindu fire ceremonies.

We create natural slow cooked ghee, crafted not manufactured... which is why we put it in Glass NOT PLASTIC. As such you can imagine that it would eat away at something like plastic. Ask yourself, do you want plastic with your Ghee? Of course not!

In a medium sauce pan saute farina and ghee for 7-10min. stir frequently. Add in water, sugar, raisins and almonds. Continually stir until water is absorbed by farina (2-5min.). Dish many be served hot or cold. When Halwa cools, it solidifies and can be cut into bite size pieces.

4 tbsp Ghee

3 cups Water

1 cups sugar

¼ cup Raisins

¼ cup slivered almonds
