Our family settled near Ancient Olympia, Greece in the 1890’s and went on to become wine, current and, of course, olive oil producers. Through PJ KABOS we are able to share our products with others around the world who seek a healthy, pure way of eating.

Aromas of cut grass, artichoke, basil and notes of tomato stem. Taste exhibits abundant fruitiness, medium bitterness and pungency with notes of arugula, flowers, mint and green almond. A high persistence and complexity.
Our groves are located in the western Peloponnese region of Greece, very close to the site of Ancient Olympia. Since ancient days, olive trees have thrived in the climatic conditions offered by this mythical area and EVOO has always had a protagonist role in everyday life.
The precious oil is extracted very shortly after the fruit is cut from the tree. Absolutely no chemicals or heat are used during the process so as to preserve all valuable nutrients.
Our production process is 100% animal-free so you can pour to your heart’s delight knowing that our beloved animals can enjoy licking up our oil as much as we do.
This variety is cultivated around the Western Peloponnese and is known for its high quality and aromatic oil. Its characteristic “green” taste is internationally renowned and perfectly complements most foods.
We harvest the olives in October/November when the fruits are still yellowish/green in color. Although this gives a very low and costly yield of around 10%, it helps us achieve our desired very high antioxidant levels and delicious, medium intensity taste.
A fan from first taste, we are deeply honored that Chef Nobu was one of our early supporters and mentors. In fact, our Family Reserve label is his extra virgin olive oil of choice for most of his Nobu Matsuhisa restaurants worldwide.
Our production process is committed to supporting the ancient hand harvesting techniques and maintaining the planting methods that have been used in Greece for centuries. We do not use heavy machinery to harvest the olive fruit or support the conversion of traditionally planted olive groves into super high density olive groves.
Your every purchase helps us support local harvest workers and family producers among others. We are pleased to cover the annual harvesting costs for select local producers. This way, we give them the opportunity to work and grow their ancestral olive groves, just as their predecessors did, and help them provide for their families.
