Our organic celery capsules start out as fresh, USA-grown, whole celery. The celery is harvested at peak freshness, then immediately frozen and dried through a cold freeze-drying process. As the final step, it is ground to a fine powder and encapsulated to preserve its nutrients.
At about 1/5th the weight of a plastic (HDPE) bottle and 1/20th the weight of a glass jar, the pouch has up to a 5x lower carbon footprint than both a glass and plastic bottle (taking into account carbon emissions from production, transportation, and disposal).
