Our Manuka Honey is harvested from the nectar of wild Manuka blossoms located in pristine rainforests and national parks along Australia's east coast.
We carefully select the location of our hives and the time of year they're positioned to take advantage of the short 2-6 week Manuka flowering season.
We track our honey from hive to jar and each jar is independently tested to ensure its potency, purity and quality.

What makes Manuka Honey special?
High grade MGO Manuka honey is naturally bio-active and is made by bees who eat from flowers on the Manuka tree. Australia has a diverse range of Manuka and is home to 83 species, 12 of which have bio-active properties. New Zealand has only one.
What is the significance of a high MGO in Manuka Honey?
The higher the MGO, the higher the concentration of Methylglyoxal (a naturally occurring compound of authentic Manuka Honey). A high MGO number means greater quality, purity, taste and strength.
What makes Biosota Manuka Honey organic?
At Biosota we follow organic farming practices. Our plants and flowers have not been treated with synthetic fertilizers, pesticides or other chemicals. We do not use antibiotics on our bees and no chemicals are used in the honey processing.

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Crystallization is a naturally occurring process but does not affect the quality, taste, or efficacy of the honey. Eat as-is or place the sealed jar in warm water to de-crystallize.
